Updated Points Allocation for Owners of Colorado Hyatt Vacation Club Resorts

Hyatt Vacation Club has announced important changes for owners of The Residences at Main Street Station, The Residences at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, and The Residences at Mountain Lodge responding to increased demand for Colorado summer vacations. These changes include updates to the points allocation for the Float Time period, which will go into effect for the 2026 Use Year.

This article will provide an overview of the recent updates and what they mean for owners, with a closer look at the adjusted point allotments and reservation requirements.

Increase in Points Allocations for 2026 and Beyond

Beginning with the 2026 Use Year, owners of The Residences at Main Street Station, The Residences at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, and The Residences at Mountain Lodge will receive an increased number of points allocated to their Home Resort Preference Period (HRPP) as well as Float Time. These additional Float Points will be deposited into owner accounts starting September 1st, 2025, in preparation for the upcoming year.

It’s important to note, the updated points values will not affect maintenance fees, which remain tied to each resort’s operating expenses.

Reservation Requirements Adjusted for 2026

The adjustments to float point values also proportionally adjusts reservation requirements for the residences. This means the number of points it will take to book accommodations have been scaled exactly the same as the raises in float point values.

This change aligns the reservation requirements with the increased Float Points allocation, ensuring a seamless transition to the new system.

How This Affects Owners

Even though the points requirements for stays at The Residences at Main Street Station, The Residences at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, and The Residences at Mountain Lodge are being raised proportionally to the increased value of points being given to owners, effectively making home reservations a wash, the increased Float Points do offer additional benefits for owners.

Owners will be able to use the additional points toward reservations at other Heritage Collection resorts, exchanges through Interval International, and conversions into World of Hyatt Bonus Points. This adds flexibility and expanded opportunities for owners to maximize their membership benefits.

The updated points chart will be available in the Owner Resources section on The Lounge later this summer. This resource will allow owners to plan their future vacations with the updated points system in mind.

Final Thoughts

The adjustments to the Float Points system at these Colorado resorts show Hyatt Vacation Club’s response to shifting travel demands. The increased point allocations for owners not only enhance the value of summer travel but also extend flexibility through exchanges and conversions.

These changes take effect for the 2026 Use Year, providing owners with time to familiarize themselves with the updated points chart and plan their upcoming stays.
