An acronym that is short for Vacation Ownership Interest. This represents the interest (a stake, share, or involvement in an undertaking) that is legally possessed by the owner of a timeshare. An owner’s VOI is what determines the attributes of their ownership such as which home resort, season, or usage rights are owned.
Vistana Signature Network VOIs
The term VOI is most popularly used to describe Vistana ownerships. There are two separate types of VOIs that are available when purchasing a Vistana timeshare.
A Weeks-Based VOI is just that. You have a week-long (seven-night) stay in the Villa type and Season you’ve chosen, including the flexibility to check-in either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
A Points-Based VOI differs in that it is a Home Options package, also known as “ownership points.” With your Home Options, you can stay at your Home Resort(s), for up to 14 days, in any available Villa type, and check-in any day of the week. Some Home Options packages may have View type and Season requirements.
Both Weeks and Points VOIs allow you to travel back to your Home Resort and travel to any of the Vistana Signature Network resorts.
