What Are Bonvoy Points?
Bonvoy points are the new loyalty currency for Marriott. You can earn Bonvoy points by staying at Marriott properties, using a Marriott credit card, or taking advantage of Marriott’s many other earning opportunities. Nights spent at participating Marriott hotels and Marriot Vacation Club resorts are considered in this loyalty program and Bonvoy Points accrue for incidental spending during such stays.
Bonvoy points can be redeemed for free stays at Marriott hotels, vacation packages, cruises, rental cars, and more.
How Can I Exchange My Marriott Vacation Club Points for Bonvoy Points?
- Log in to your Marriott Bonvoy account
- Click on the “Use Points” tab
- Under “Points Advance,” select “Convert Marriott Vacation Club Points to Bonvoy Points”
- Enter the number of points you’d like to convert (remember, the minimum is 250 DC points) and click “Convert Now”

Only A Percentage of Your Marriott Vacation Club Points Can Be Exchanged for Bonvoy Points
You can exchange your Marriott Destinations Club points for Bonvoy points on an annual basis according to your membership level. Depending on your membership level, you have varying percentages of your Destination Club Points that can be converted to Bonvoy Points. You can see in the chart below what each membership level allows:

- Chairman’s Club Members may exchange up to 75% of their Marriott Vacation Club Points for Bonvoy Points

- Owners and Select Members may exchange up to 50% of their Marriott Vacation Club Points for Bonvoy Points
Initial Exchange Minimum
The initial exchange each year must be at least 250 Marriott Vacation Club Points, increments of 5 Marriott Vacation Club Points are allowed thereafter.
Bonvoy Points Exchange Deadlines
