If there was ever something that would make purchasing resale more appealing, the direct purchase price is increasing for Disney Vacation Club points. Disney Vacation Club announced that multiple properties will be increasing the direct price per point. Some of these price increases have already taken effect, while others are just a few days away.
On January 20th, 2022 the direct pricing increase was put in place for the following resorts.
Resort Name | Previous Direct Price | New Direct Price | Increase Amount |
---|---|---|---|
Beach Club Villas | $245 | $265 | $20 |
BoardWalk Villas | $210 | $230 | $20 |
Hilton Head | $140 | $155 | $15 |
Vero Beach | $125 | $140 | $15 |
This is the second time in the last year that Hilton Head and Vero Beach have increased their direct sale price per point.
Two more resorts will be increasing their direct prices on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022. Those resorts and their new direct point pricing is in the table below.
Resort Name | Previous Direct Price | New Direct Price | Increase Amount |
---|---|---|---|
Riviera | $201 | $207 | $6 |
Aulani | $201 | $207 | $6 |
The direct price increase amount for Riviera and Aulani seems to be closer to the standard yearly cost increase that Disney has implemented for their Disney Vacation Club resorts.
However, these price increases simply show exactly how much money can be saved when purchasing a DVC contract on the resale market, opposed to buying it directly from Disney.
