Diamond Resorts Slated To Be Rebranded To HVC Resorts

Since Hilton Grand Vacations’ acquisition of Diamond Resorts, there has been a slew of exciting developments for both Hilton and Diamond timeshare owners. Now, it has come to light that a handful of Diamond Resorts are slated to be the first to get completely rebranded to Hilton Vacations Club resorts. Hilton Vacation Club will be the new sub-brand for Diamond Resorts leading into the future, and will operate as a second-tier ownership under the Hilton timeshare umbrella. Hilton Grand Vacations will continue on as Hilton’s top-tier timeshare ownership.

First 5 Diamond Resorts Rebranding to Hilton Vacation Club (HVC)

The following is a list of 5 of the Diamond Resorts that are among the first resorts to be welcomed into the Hilton family by the end of the First Quarter of 2022. This branding transition is likely to be towards the end of the first quarter of 2022 , but could possibly be pushed to sometime in quarter 2.

What Does This Mean For HGV (Hilton Grand Vacations) Timeshare Owners?

The transition of Diamond Resorts turning into Hilton Vacation Club will most likely happen strategically, with Hilton transitioning a few resorts at a time. As for availability for current HGV to book these resorts, Hilton did announce a centralized booking system for both HGV and existing Diamond resorts (soon to be rebranded to Hilton Vacation Club, or HVC) that caused HGV owners’ ClubPoint values to be scaled up to 160% of their original value. All signs are pointing to a relatively tight integration between the two vacation clubs.

As for booking priority, reason would stand that existing Diamond owners would get priority availability during something like a Home Resort Season, with Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) owners being able to book starting at possibly 9 months out, as is usually the case for Club Season reservations.
