What Is Hilton Honors?

Hilton Grand Vacations owners use Hilton Honors, a free loyalty program that allows them to earn points that allow free stays at a vast network of Hilton-branded hotels. HGV owners can use this program to travel to destinations that are not currently part of the Hilton Grand Vacations Resort portfolio, or they can convert expiring ClubPoints into Hilton Honors points to prevent losing them.

The Hilton Honors program features four distinct membership levels that offer a wide array of benefits based on the membership level: Member, Silver, Gold, and Diamond.

Conversion Rate For Turning HGV Club Points Into Hilton Honors Points

If you’re interested in converting your HGV Club points into Hilton Honors points, you will need to understand the conversion rate. There has been quite a lot of movement with the Hilton timeshare brand lately, and it was recently announced that ClubPoint values would be raised by 160%. You can read more about this change here, but this is why the chart below will show 2 differing values based on whether the conversion is taking place before the adjustment of Club Point values or not.

Fees For ClubPoints To Hilton Honors Conversion

There are fees involved in converting HGV ClubPoints into Hilton Honors points, and these fees are based on how you complete the process. You have the options of performing the conversion online, or on the phone with a Hilton Vacation Counsellor. You can see a chart that lists the fees below.

Types Of Hilton Honors Conversions

Conversion for Immediate Use

HGV owners may convert any number of their current year’s ClubPoints allotment into Hilton Honors points on or before December 31 of that year. For a hotel reservation at a Hilton branded property, you will receive 1 ClubPoint to 13 Hilton Honors points.

For example: 8,400 ClubPoints = 109,200 Hilton Honors points.

Conversion for Following Year Use

HGV owners may convert any or all of the following year’s ClubPoints allotment into Hilton Honors points on or before December 31 of that year. The current conversion ratio is 1 ClubPoint to 16 Hilton Honors points.

For example: 8,400 ClubPoints = 134,400 Hilton Honors points.

Bonus Points Conversion

An HGV owner who converts all or any portion of their Bonus Points (before their expiration date) to Hilton Honors points will earn a ratio of 1 bonus point to 16 Hilton Honors points.

For example: 8,400 Bonus Points = 134,400 Hilton Honors points.

How To Convert ClubPoints To Hilton Honors Points

Step 1

From the Member Dashboard, on the top navigation select Points Management and then dropdown to select Manage My Points.

Also on the Member Dashboard, in the Points Summary section, click View and Manage Your Points.

Step 2

Proceed to the Hilton Honors Conversion section and click Convert Points.

Step 3

This page will show the amount of ClubPoints eligible to convert to Hilton Honors. Club Members can convert all or just a portion of the ClubPoints they have currently available. Club Members with Bonus Points allotments can also convert all or a portion in Hilton Honors points. Click Continue to proceed to the next page.

Step 4

A confirmation will then present. Review all information, read the Terms and Conditions and check the acknowledgment box. If a fee is applicable, enter your credit card information and click Complete Your Conversion.

Step 5

A transaction confirmation will generate. If converting next year’s points, as per Terms & Conditions of the program, the Hilton Honors points will be visible in your Hilton Honors account beginning in early January.
