Congratulations on becoming a Hilton Grand Vacation Club owner! Now that you have your HGVC property, you will wish to plan your dream vacation, and the first step in that process is understanding how to book a Hilton Grand Vacation Club reservation. There are multiple booking options available to owners, each with their own benefits. Let’s take a closer look at each one.
How To Book Online
One of the most convenient ways to book reservations for HGVC owners is to book online. In order to book a reservation online, you will want to visit the Hilton Grand Vacation Club website. Here you will use your member login to access your account and points in order to book your home resort. You can also use ClubPoints if you wish to book another HGVC reservation outside of your home resort. When you have chosen your destination and dates, you can confirm your reservation online and will receive a confirmation email to the email account associated with your HGVC login.
If you are booking at your home resort, you will be able to book up to 12 months before your desired checkout date. If you are booking at a different club resort, you can book within 9 month of your checkout date. The booking windows will remain the same whether you choose to book online or over the phone.
How To Book Over the Phone
To book a reservation over the phone you will need to call the Hilton Grand vacation Club reservation phone number to be connected to an agent. Customer service representatives will need your membership information and then they can access your HGVC account and help you make a reservation. All you will need to do is tell your representative which resort you wish to visit and when you would like to go, along with the size of the room you would like.
There is a three night minimum for those booking with Club Points, but if you are booking an Open Season reservation, there is only a two night minimum.
What Are The Benefits of Booking Online?
There are many benefits to booking your reservation online. First and foremost, booking reservations online have a smaller reservation fee than booking over the phone, leading to a little bit of savings for every reservation that you make, which can really add up.
Another major benefit to booking online is the convenience. If you find yourself preoccupied with other things while also trying to book, booking online may be the easiest option for you. There is less of a chance of missing information that you might have if you were on the phone, and all of your important information will be put down in writing for your future reference. After the online booking process is complete, members will promptly receive a confirmation email.
By booking online, members will also have the ability to browse the full resort directory and take a look at other properties for your vacation. This is perfect for those who are still unsure about where they would like to spend their vacation time. In addition, all HGVC ownership information is available to owners online.
What Are The Benefits of Booking Over the Phone?
There are many times that booking over the phone makes a lot of sense. In particular, if you still have questions that you would like answered before completing a booking, booking over the phone will give you that peace of mind. By booking your reservation through a customer service representative, you can ensure that every concern is addressed and everything goes smoothly.
Also, if you are out and about often, and do not find yourself in a situation where you can take the time at home on your computer to book, calling and going through a representative may be the easiest option for you.

Home Week Reservation Window
Here are some important things to note for booking in your HGVC Home Week reservation window.
- Home Week reservation window begins 12 months prior to check-in and ends 9 months to check-in.
- Requires a reservation in the exact unit size and unit type in the season that the member purchased for the full week based on your fixed check-in date in your home resort.
- All of the annual allotment of ClubPoints assigned to the home resort week will be used.
- The flexible point based system will not apply while in the home week booking period.
- ClubPoints earned in the use year are the only ones that can be used during the Home Week window.
- Hilton Grand Vacation Club works as a floating week system during the Home Week window.
- ClubPoints that are Borrowed, Rescued, or Deposited can not be used in the Home Week window.
- Home Week reservation window begins 9 months, or 279 days, before checkout and ends 1 day prior to check-in.
- All members can use ClubPoints to book any season, resort, unit size, or unit type for 3 nights or more during this window.
- There is an equal chance at booking any HGVC resort while in this Reservation window.
Club Season Reservation Window
The Club Season booking window generally opens up starting at 276 days (9months) prior to check-in date, and allows owners of any HGV resort to utilize their ClubPoints to book resorts outside of their deeded week or designated season. This allows owners a high degree of flexibility to travel to the many destinations in the HGV resort portfolio. All Club Season reservations are subject to availability, so it’s always a wise choice to plan ahead and book your desired vacations as early as possible during the Club Season booking window.
Open Season Reservation Window
Things you need to know about the Open Season Reservation window include:
- This reservation window begins 30 days prior to check-out and goes until 1 day prior to check-in.
- Members can book using cash for any season, resort, unit size or type for 2 days or more.
- Members must be the ones to check-in for these reservations.
Hilton HHonors Program
Those who are members of Hilton Grand Vacations Club will also be allowed into the Hilton HHonors program. Hilton HHonors Program is the Hilton Hotel Corporation’s loyalty program, and offers members many extra benefits.
Members can convert their ClubPoints into HHonors points. HGVC currently charges a transaction fee to convert these points at the following rates:
- $76 conversion rate for online
- $99 conversion rate for over the phone
The conversion values are fixed depending on the size of the unit and the season owned. The current fixed rate for converting is:
- 20 HHonors points to 1 ClubPoint for the current use year’s points
- 25 HHonors points to 1 ClubPoint for the next year’s points
Why Use HHonors Points?
Members who convert their points over to HHonors will be able to use them for a variety of different features. Members will have the opportunity to stay at many other Hilton owned hotels all over the world and even use them as frequent flyer miles with affiliate airlines.
HHonors points are also interchangeable with ClubPoints when it comes to making reservations, meaning that members will not need to convert Club points to make reservations at participating HHonors hotels. These benefits will also apply to those who purchase from a resale broker.
RCI Exchange
HGVC owners are also able to trade their HGVC points into RCI to broaden their resort options even more. When accessing this feature, RCI exchange fees will apply.
For deeded weeks, there will be a season that is referenced. The season will determine what type of unit a member would be able to book and the amount of points that they would need for that unit.
